I have not had eye surgery but my wife has had 3 surgeries now. Two cateracts removed and one laser repair. She did not have any problems at all. She went back to work the next day and is driving again.
Very safe. Eye muscle (external) and cataract surgeries (internal)are performed on different parts of the eye.
