You can have a private conversation without raising your voice. Very pleasant atmosphere, even when crowded.
I agree, it depends on whether there is a large party, either way food is outstanding
Quieter than most restaurants. This is such a relative question that it is tough to know how quiet you want it to be.
From my experience, the noise level is quite high when the restaurant is full. I have usually dined there on Saturdays. They will work with you to find a quieter table, though. Super-nice staff.
Patio is usually pretty quiet. Inside it can get loud with a big group but usually fairly easy to have a conversation.
