Yes. There are plenty of pics of gators in Crystal River, including 3 Sisters Springs. They generally avoid places with heavy traffic, but they are found in our river and spring systems. With that said, you are relatively safe. Most avoid humans and they are not naturally aggressive except during mating season. If you see one, dont feed or antagonize it. Calmly leave the area.

I'm not an expert on animals or anything for that matter, but in my experiences there or places like this, YES! This is Florida, and they go and adapt to every habit it seems. Plus it's cold(Florida cold), they don't move much in cold. Just always be aware of your surroundings.
