I purchased 4 batteries yesterday, Energizer # 2032. For a car remote key. the first 2 tried were dead? The 3rd one worked? how do I resolve this, without standing inline exposing myself to possible Covid danger?

I can only presume that you went to the store and stood in line to purchase the batteries initially, so I'm not sure why you are now concerned about possible exposure. Just go back and exchange them.
