The park is named for Reggie J. Rodriguez, a war veteran and venerable son of Montebello. There are several plaques commemorating him, one of which is actually hidden somewhere in the park. Occasionally it is revealed, then nature reclaims it until another person stumbles across it yet again, that or someone who knows about it exposes it again.
I know some of the family they are good people. The park is named after Reggie J. Rodriguez who was he war veteran that's all I know. The park itself has had a history of homicides.
