In the summer, are families able to come and camp? Or are there other groups utilizing it?

Requesting reservations is always recommended, because pretty much the entire time it's open it's used. They do try to keep places for families open, and camping is offered all summer into fall.

If there's a Girl's Camp going on, some areas are restricted. You might want to ask about that when you call.
