theshell.org, the seats are metal, they have a very comfortable cushion. It's high class outdoor symphony seating. They do have be easy to clean Think about it !
Plastic seats, there is food, soda and other beverages inside. You can bring an empty water bottle to fill up, inside.
The seats are plastic with no cushion, but they were surprisingly comfortable. You can purchase beer/wine at the venue along with a pretty descent selection of food (for a public music venue). Whatever you decide to do, you will have a great time there.
Wine by the glass or bottle, including top quality wines (or at least priced that way). Good beer selection as well.
The reserved tables have cushioned fold down metal chairs. You can preorder food and cocktails. I think the very back chairs might be plastic. The ones with out the tables. Multiple drink stations, you can buy pizza and delicious popcorn in the front area before entering into the shell.
Metal folding chairs with marginal cushions. Parkside seating poorly designed and somewhat uncomfortable. And yes, they've chosen to ban outside food claiming some supposed "benefit" to attendees. (Hogwash!) Opportunity for mediocre, overpriced food/beer/wine purchase. Guess they needed a cut of the sales to pay for what is otherwise a fabulous venue.
