I am new to the area looking for a regular station - - disabled assistance is not at the discretion of the cashier - - the ADA regulation is that they are required to help if more than one attendant is employed - - you actually have answered my question by indicating that they only have one cashier most of the time. I'll need to find another station - - thank you for your response.
I think that is at the cashiers discretion. This Arco wouldn't be the best choice if you need someone to pump your gas because it's near a school, less expensive then all the stations in the area and usually has about 4-5 pan handlers working the entrance all day/night. They don't have no loitering signs up. They have one cashier most of the time and he is unable to leave register to pump gas. Most anyone with any morals will assist you with pumping gas if you are unable. The pan handlers would even assist "no quarters required" all you need to do is ask. Check the law under American Disabilities Act on this subject. I think stations are required to assist you regardless of their own issues. Sometimes you need to mention that law to remind them.
