I went recently and couldn't find anything about gasparilla (intentionally searched for it) but I don't even know if Jose Gaspar is really why they call it gasparilla

I'm not sure, however, the third floor exhibit is brand new and it is all about the real pirates and shipwrecks off the Florida coast, so I'm sure Gasparilla is part of it.
