Hello and thank you for your question. Ms. Nesbit is correct. Our HHW facilities will only accept the battery since it is classified as Universal Waste as long as it is generated from a household. If the wheelchair is business waste, then an appointment shall be made to dispose of the battery only. The wheelchair itself, after the battery is removed, can go into a landfill.
No, I think that would go into the regular trash, if it has a battery, the battery could be recycled here
