I learned ton shoot here, in 1951, but when I moved back to the area, recently, I found a big sign that says not open to the public.
Let that be a lesson to you! Never ever come back to Kalifornia. In 2006, the powers that be, decided to close the range to the public because, well, guns are just too darn dangerous. Even though in the 70 years since 1936 that it was open to the public, there was not a single accident or incident there involving a civilian. It was my main pistol range from 1973 until 1996 when I moved to Arizona, which is THE gun friendliest state in the nation.
