Go first thing in the morning. Ride the most popular rides first and if you have a fast pass use it for other rides in the day.
@palomavaldez you should definetely get the fast pass because the lines this time of year are really long this time of year and you can get on more attractions.
Anyone with a park entry ticket can get a fast pass for free and they allow guests to skip a portion of the ride if they come back at a later time. It's common practice to use them for popular rides which have longer lines such as Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, etc. Remember, you can only subscribe to one ride at a time and not all rides have them such as Peter Pan and most fantasyland rides. You can pick up a new fast pass once the return time for the fast pass has expired. I believe Disney also allows guests to pay an extra fee to use their official app to order fast pass tickets off of your phone instead of at the ride entrances. So if you saw an extra price when ordering tickets that might have been what was confusing you. It basically saves you the initial walk to the fass pass generator.
