There are many great rides in disneyland and california adventure including such as Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. Depends on your taste really, that is if you have a certain specification for a ride.

I highly recommend Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and the Matterhorn. The earlier in the day the better or get fast passes for these rides while you go on some of the less popular rides with shorter lines.
Spece Mountain
You have to enjoy the park at your own pace and choose rides that work for your group. Personally, I love Alice in Wonderland. Soaring Over The World in DCA is good too.
