Replying to Michael's & Ben's question, as I have bought these chocolates before and flown them to California. The key thing is that these chocolates shouldn't melt as you transport them. You can buy them couple of days before you leave. My chocolates didn't crack or ruptured, after the plane ride. A box of these is a pretty gift :)
Another good question would be will the chocolates which have tiny sealed cavities of air and filling survive the change in air pressure due to to varying elevations?
