Can someone tell me the policy that allows Walmart employees/managers to stop me without showing a receipt? Are they police officers are can they actually stop me?

Too many thefts
They are only suppose to see receipts when a item is not in a bag. Like 12/24 packs of sodas. TVs. Bikes. Big packs of paper goods (paper towels & toilet paper). Ect. Ect.
