Does anyone know what specific data they store when they ask for an ID to make a return? Do they take first, last, DOB, ID number, address? They don't tell you, they just take your ID and type some stuff.

What does it mean "everything of pertinent information"...? Do they take down "everything" thats on the ID? An answer from someone who works there would be really helpful...

They document everything of pertinent information. It protects you and them. The computer stores the data and will document your activity.
