I'd say Disney has more options for little ones but not newborns, spending money depends on how much you're willing to spend per person. I'd say $50 per person and another $50 to buy souvenirs.... add more if you wish.... everything is expensive š¬
I don't recommend taking a 5 month old to CA Adventure! This is a park children past the toddler stage in my opinion.
As previously stated, a newborn doesn't have many rides to go on at DCA. That being said, I'm not sure why everyone is saying most rides you have to be "44" inches or "at least 4 feet". I went with my 2 year old (25 months to be exact) just today and went on 8 different rides. He's only 38". But I digress, Disneyland is much better for a baby.
I got my kids $400 gift card for anything they wanted and we left with still$125 remaining on our card. 5month old would be better at Disneyland it's more kid friendly rides
I went with my almost two year granddaughter she was very happy with many rides for her age they have
Disneyland is definitely geared more towards younger children. But you can still enjoy DCA with an infant. I agree with some previous answers in bringing at least $100 for food, if not more for a family of 4. The following rides have no height requirement at Disney California Adventure: Golden Zephyr Jessieās Critter Carousel The Little Mermaid: Arielās Undersea Adventure Monsters Inc. Mike & Sully to the Rescue! Pixar Pal-A-Round Toy Story Midway Mania! Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind However, some of these rides still have fast or jerking movements that may not be suitable for babies. The following rides offer Rider Switch in Disney California Adventure: Guardians of the Galaxy Soarinā Around the World Luigiās Rollickinā Roadsters Materās Junkyard Jamboree Radiator Springs Racers Incredicoaster Silly Symphony Swings Goofyās Sky School Jumpinā Jellyfish Grizzly River Run Enjoy!
No more 2000
With a 5-month-old you will not be able to get on every ride. But if there are two parents you can wait in line and when one gets done riding the ride the other one swaps the baby and the other one will go on the ride without having to wait in line again. If that makes sense.
Yes you can
I would wait till the little one is a bit older. In the meantime save, save, save. Disney is expensive and getting more expensive each year. Last word of advise, predetermine your spending limit and take it in cash so you do not overspend. Minnie ears were $30 and that the beginning of your shopping. My wife and daughter purchased a different set of ears each day we where there...
Meals are $10-$20 a person. Souvenirs you could figure $25-$50 a person. If you're on a budget you don't have to buy those in the park. There are not as many rides or attractions in California Adventure as Disneyland for bringing a 5 month old. There are a couple, Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc, Turtle talk with Crush, and a couple others. The rest are for young kids and up, but not infants or toddlers.
Not really any rides for a baby at California Adventure. You will get stuck sitting with stroller while everyone else rides. Disneyland at least has its a small world.
Do not take that baby on the ferris wheel! Whoever said that is crazy. I wouldn't recommend taking a baby or a kid that can't walk yet in either park. That is just my opinion. I took each of my children for their first time when they turned 4 years old. If at all possible I suggest you leave the baby with a loved one so you may enjoy the time with the other child or children. Like I said...just my opinion. Try not to get "Mom guilty" for leaving baby. Hope you enjoy your visit either way!
Yes in Pixar
I recently went with a 9month old and was surprised how many rides they allowed me to take him on. We had a great time!
Pack non-perishable snacks and foods. Stay Way from Pym's Test Kitchen. Everything was dry, overlooked and bland
Honestly I'd say $25 per for a lil souvenir each but if you're aiming for more and food expect $250
For California Adventure not to many rides for a newborn all I can think of is the little mermaid ride. For Disneyland you can get on Haunted Mansion, Small World, most of the Fantasyland rides, Steamboat and train, jungle boat, Winnie the pooh to name a few. Spending money depends on you if your just going to spend on eating then I say between $100-$200 I have a family of four also and in my opinion the food is really good! Now if you want souvenirs and gifts bump it up another $100-200. Not cheap.
Most rides in Fantasy land can accommodate an infant. You can check Disneyland aoo for a list of all rides with height requirements if any. I'd say $75 per person for food would be good. That would include some yummy treats as well
Both California Disney resort Parks have Rider Switch at almost all the rides and many of the rides like Small World and Pirates allow you to carry an infant on a lap... Jungle Cruise... Storybook Land, as well I believe. There are several. Rider switch gives you the option of not having to wait in line while one party rides a ride with say, an older child. The other party waits with the infant. Then when that parent gets off the ride they can take the infant and the other parent gets to ride the ride. The other parent does not have to wait through the line again.
Michelle answered the best. Most rides children have to be over 44" to ride most rides. The roller coaster has a limit of 47"
Depending on the ride, adult rides there is a height requirement. Spending all depends on how much Mickey stuff you buy can be pricey. Then food. I would say about family of 4 $100 for food one day. Also take the shuttle it drops you off right at the gate, if you drive the walk can be long and then you have to pay for it.
Maybe the ferris wheel but most rides require a child be at least 4 feet or more, besides the rides are a bit shaky and jerk you around a bit. Not for a young baby.
Yes you can ride with the baby. It's probably easier to use a credit card than use cash...

If I visit the park from 8 am to 6 pm, is it enough to go through it or is it better until 11 pm?
