There is one spot upstairs that has the duplo blocks. But kind of an expensive trip to play with duplos.
The interactive nature of the Discovery Cube is meant for a child who is a bit older. There would be a lot to look at, but that would be it.
There's lots to do but the concept of everything there is hard to grasp for a one year old. Older kids would benefit more from the discovery cube

Honestly I think it would not have much to keep them entertained for long. Much about science, touching & experiencing hands on things. Aquarium of the Sea in Long Beach has better visual & touch things for that age group.
