I agree with both Kathy and Jerimiah - outside on the deck (especially for lunch) shorts and a Polo shirt is ok, but for dinner inside - I always bring it up just a bit with my atire. A dinner jacket or tie is definitely Not required but keep in mind your waiter will be wearing one. Respect for the the atmosphere and the staff will always get you better service.
