No license needed to fish in saltwater from a licensed pier. You can fish or drop small crabbing nets from the pier. You do have to know some fish, like roundhead mullet, which must be between 12"-18" to keep them. When we were there last month, we asked about this. Staff said that it is NOT required, but may be recommended.

Yes. The pier staff don't check but it is not unheard of for the game/fishing warden to check up and down the pier
