Hi I found a dog in my neighborhood its possible that it hasn't eaten for a while and looks sad as well what can I do? I want to help but I cant stop think about animal control putting down an innocent animal.

They wont put him down if he needs help and can be helped they will if hes deathly ill thats different promise they wont kill him

You could care for it, animal control will not put a dog under care down. Ask around and see if has an owner, turn it into the Humane society if no one turns up.

You can feed him. And animal control won't put him down. But I do recommend that on Monday you call them and see what they can help with. Or take a photo of the dog and post it on Facebook to see if anyone recognizes him.
