I agree with Samantha. It is wiser to be considerate of what they experience in their workday, than believe the worst of of person. ANY public facing job is extremely difficult in that they are trying to please everyone, but very few try to make their job easier. Be a great customer and smile at you server next time, and move to the next line. You will feel better, and so will they. Be kind!
It was probably way past time for her break or lunch. She might have been standing there holding her pee. Have you ever worked retail or customer service. It's hard to get your breaks and lunch time sometimes never get them. And it is aggravating to not get your breaks or lunches on time. Just because you are shopping there and she did that does not mean that you couldn't have gone to a different checker. Or you could go to Wal-Mart where there is self checkout
