My aunt drivers license expired Nov. 2018. She has not renewed it. She is 90 years old. What do you suggest? Dose that mean she has to take a written test? Is there anything she can do through AAA?

Probably doesn't have to take the test, but AAA can't help, CA law requires elderly drivers to renew a driver's license in person at the DMV.

Just call them or DMV. The DMV would probably be best to tell you what to do.

I'm not sure about that, I went in for tags.

No. Once you are 70 you have to take a written test. I just did in September. I'm 74. 18 questions, 3 trys. You can request to take it without the computer. There is an Eye test and at her age probably driving test. Hope she isn't driving. You can get the Drivers booklet and also study on line.

I agree with Steven Miller. DMV would know what's best. God bless!
