Odd question but is this an okay place to study and have a beer or 2 at? I've been looking for a bar that's cool with that sort of stuff( I'm not planning to be there during peak hours either) if not anyone have a recommendation?

Yeah, I would do that. There's also wifi, but anyplace that doesn't isnt really operating in thr now anyway.
