Ambrosia is what I would term West Coast Italian. It's good but it won't be as familiar as what you're used to in NJ. I lived in NJ too and I enjoy the food at Ambrosia but it is a different style than many of the standard NJ-issue places. :-)
It's very good. A mixture of Italian and other cultures.
