I'm a truck driver and I would love to visit a ww2 aircraft carrier. Since they scrapped the big E, I guess the Hornet is the next best thing! Now there are no truckstops nearby, do you have room for an 18 wheeler in your parking lot?

Thanks for the question, Fred. There is parking all around the Hornet, but not right next to it. The area is the former Alameda Naval Air station which was closed in the 1990's so much of the space is abandoned leaving large parking areas. You'll find parking along W. Hornet Avenue in the vacated large lot along that road.

Thanks for the answers. I just don't want my truck to be a nuisance to other visitors. I just noticed the "USS Hornet" sign on my way out of San Francisco yesterday and thought "next time!". Didn't even know the Hornet bad been saved unlike the Enterprise. USS Midway, San Diego, noted! I'm from Québec, Canada so I don't come to california often but I always love it!
