Why do the deli workers wear gloves? There is no purpose as they wear them customer after customer without changing them. That is nasty.

My wife has ciliac's disease to the point that any cross contamination can make her very sick. Employees should change cloves with every customer

Its quite simple. Its a Health Dept. rule. And actually the clerks constantly change their gloves. Its a win situation for you. You dont know how clean the clerk's hands are. He touches all kinds of things. Better if he has gloves on. I know this because I have a degree in Culinary Arts.

There are rules about gloves. Like as long as they don't touch anything they shouldn't their safe. I have seen a worker accidentally put both hands on the top of the counter and realized and changed their gloves. So that was good. I can't speak for all. But there are rules in place. Ask the manager. Maybe that will putt your mind at ease. It's better than wondering if they didn't wear them and had come from the bathroom without washing.??? Doubt if they'd wear gloves in there.

You should address that with the store manager.
