I bought silverware on Sept 11, brought it home, washed it. It has a strong metallic taste. I don’t have the receipt because after washing and putting away, I had thrown it away. Be possible to exchange?

I would call and ask them and explain that you washed them before you go to put them away and they smell metallic after you washed them
