Is Mingus Park a pretty safe area?

Very safe yes

With supervision it's safe but there are places kids could get hurt, and if you are asking about creepy people follow the park hours and there's very little chance of trouble. And there's always a fair amount of people around to ask for help.

I've walked there in the early 70's and again in the last 5 years but only during day time and never had any problems. We loved the time we spent there.!!!!

I have walked the trails many times and never had any issues.
