The Rose and Thistle opened in 1991. It took over the On Broadway Tavern. Not sure about the timeline exactly before that. I am sure it was a restaurant called the Guilded Cage before the On Broadway Tavern!
I wasn't 21 then but I'm pretty sure Stafford's was closer to the river (on Broadway)
