I saw on Pet finder a conure parrot was rescued at the spca. I called so many times by phone, leaving voicemails, and no one ever returned my call, so i assumed he was adopted. Petfinder emailed me if i had taken the bird and i emailed them back saying i never got a response back. They Said if it is still listed on their site it is still available. So i drove over to the spca. Sure enough...he was still there! I adopted him after five cage visits and i can truly say these kids and volunteers are trying their best. I think they feel, what I now feel, you need to go a meet the animals. What can they possibly do to help an animal by answering a phone or inquiry? A pet is a life long commitment, so take 10 mins to find the right one. Go in and ask whatever you need to know. They are walking, feeding, and cleaning strays...not sitting by the phone. Ps. Love my Captain No Pants Conure!!
I have a 5 pound hymalayin kitty shes 12 years old and I have to surrender her because I have to move and it's no pets I have exhausted all other efforts cant get a hold of the lady I got her from will they take her?
They are getting better at calling back just be patient sorry for the inconvenience . If you just show up its a different price than if you have am appointment.
Try leaving a voicemail with your name and phone number they usually will call back
You can also email them. Which usually will meet you a response rather quickly
I know they are busy. Someone should be calling you back. Can you ask the questions when someone answers phone? SPCA is closed on Mondays. Call tomorrow at 1:00 pm when they open. Hope this helps.
They are a very busy place. If its convenient for you i would go there in person if nobody is calling you back
