There ate coyotes everywhere. Period. If that frightens you unduly then stay at home. They seldom bother anyone or anything. Make some noise and they run away

No lions. Too close to the city. I have never encountered coyotes on this trail. But you never know it is located in a canyon so it is the perfect place for them. So if you want to avoid the possibility of encountering one just go there an hour or two after sunrise. And even if you do and they are close they will growl but just keep walking or make noise to scare them off.

No mountain lions. I did see one coyote there but they steer clear of you. They are only active in the early early morning There are coyotes every where in San Diego. I live across the street from UTC and saw one walking across the parking lot.
