It's free! Just bring a bill to prove you're address

Hi Jared! I work at this library and there is no charge to get a library card! We just need a picture ID and proof of your current address. If you bought a house or signed a rental agreement those would work great if you haven't gotten your new address on your license yet! Materials are free to check out but fines do accrue if you don't turn them in on time. We can answer any other questions you may have when you come in to sign up for a card!

Hi Jared! Sorry for the slow reply--the fastest way to get information is to call the library during open hours at 503-266-3394, or visit our website (canbylibrary.org). As other posters have commented, all you need to get a library card is photo ID and proof of address. As long as you live in Clackamas, Washington, or Multnomah Counties, it's free.
