I'm going to show tomorrow with a friend with mobility issues. She uses a cane, not a wheelchair; it will take real effort for her to use a low lawn chair. Are there any exceptions to limitation on chair height? Recommendations?

There is ada seating for all levels. Let them know at ticket counter and they will put something on your ticket for ada approval, or let them know when u enter the grassy area , they will get u a companion folding chair in ada seating
