I failed to get something that broke on my engine hoist repaired. Didn't even assemble it yet, since it was so complex because they did not label any of their bolts. My suggestion is don't buy anything until you're absolutely certain you'll need it, because returns even on defective products may be iffy
If it is a hand tool, screwdriver, pliers, hammer, AND IT'S PITTSBURGH, no questions asked. Power tools are usually 90 days. If they know you, and depending on the store manager, you may get some grace on that.
I have never had an issue returinging anything as long as I have a reciept. If you are worried buy the extended warrenty. I do that on big ticket items. Just cart it back and no questions asked.
I return anything, never had a problem. Replace an item no problem. I even had the manager give me a special piece I lost for assembly, Everett, WA store is where it's at. Great people/manager.
