One of my favorite strands is purple master kush... Another one is Afgooey space queen. Sometimes it depends on what you smoke out of depends on the taste. Flavored blunts and wraps can distort the taste.
Stay away from any flavored weed. Find some reputable growers to follow. Another person recommended some good ones that have medical experience as well as recreational. Also, stay away from all manner of joint and blunt wraps. They all have additives that are chemical based wether they be organic or not, they still tend to have a bitter or chemically flavor. Also, choose buds which have as little leaf material as possible. Leaves tend to taste/smell chemically because of the chlorophyll and if they are not flushed properly.
Concentrate on terpines. Some of them tend to have somewhat chemical smells and tastes. As a broad general rule, the citrusy ones are a more energetic high, the piney ones tend to have a more sedative affect. Seems to me, that usually the more you pay, the better the terpene profile is. Mention your problems to your budtender. They ought to be able to help you find a strain(s) and grower that works for you.
NWCS Pink Cookies has never failed me. Artizen also has some good strains, cant think of any specific ones right now though.
