I have seen people dig for clams there. I am sure you need a license.

I don't know as I usually go there because it's an off leash beach for dogs. I've never seen people digging for clams. However, Penn Cove Beach just north of the intersection of Hwy. 20 and Libby Rd. is great for clam digging at low tide. Just be sure to have a permit.

There are clams and you will need a license and to keep only the allowed size. Dont take oysters unless you know what youre doing. Ive only seen Olympic oysters and im pretty sure they are protected and not open for harvest.
