Yes you can legally. Being 12 years old in 2019 is far different than being 12 in 1960. Times have changed. Your brother should understand the content. I'm sure he's mature enough. You showing concern for your brother and seeking advice & feedback is very mature & says a lot about your up bringing. If he was raised like you then he'll be fine & probably think his big sister is really cool. I think it's pretty cool of you. Maybe take him to a safer theatre thou.
