Fishing is allowed at Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually NWR, but is permitted by boat access only and is limited, in order to support conservation efforts, to areas outside our main sanctuary area Fishing programs promote understanding and appreciation of natural resources and their management on all lands and waters in the Refuge System. Almost like it is encouraged so long as you do so lawfully.
Fishing is generally discouraged in refuges. Use the 'Fish Washington' app to find nearby places.
