The wait depends on demand. I recall i tried to book a night on a long holiday weekend on short notice (one week before) and it was all booked. Another time i went by it had plenty of rooms available. The cost per night is reasonable. I think last time i stayed there was like 70ish, but cannot say for shure. I do not know if they have a weekly rate.
We have usually just called the day before. We always stay after the New Year on our way back from Arizona. We have also stayed in late October. We have never experienced a cost increase. It is our first choice when we are in the area. They also have never charged a cancellation fee, however, we have only stayed one night at a time.
We stayed without a reservation or added cost a couple months ago. Could be oilfield is up plus holidays. Hotels in Odessa (couple hours north) get stupid expensive and full.
It was $65 a night. I would book in advance, as there are "regulars" who stay here, as well as the guys traveling through working in the oil business.
They will take you in with no notice immediately and 100+
