The original owners, Jerry & Grace's father were somewhere in Denver, but when we found Monterrey House with brother & sister, Jerry & Grace as owners in the early 70's, they were off of 20th & Pierce. Fortunately, the 2 subsequent owners have kept true to the original recipes.
Sorry guys, the Arvada location opened more like 15-17 years ago. The previous owners still owned the one on Wadsworth and 6th. They then sold that one and a few years later sold the Arvada location and moved back to Monterey Mexico
It's been there a lot longer than 5 years! I would say 8-10 at least!
