The city did change the law that used to allow people to camp in the Wal-Mart parking lot about 3yrs ago because the crime rate sky rocketed during the times that they had a lot of people camping and it was also becoming Ann Eyre show because there were people that would bring their campers into the parking lot Ann's stay for wells and some tried to stay much longer then that and it was becoming a nuisance and Harder to control what was going in. Minnehaha county decided it was way to dangerous for everybody and way to expensive for them due to the huge increase of calls and they didn't believe they could affords tohire more officers just to patrol the Wal-Mart parking lots and Wal-Mart definitely want going to pay for any security company to duo so because it would take money or kid old Sam and his family's pocket. Good forbid that ever happens. He might be 5 dollars less richer then the next guy. And of course that can't happen that
Lord have Mercy here's about 1/2 the people saying yes & the other half saying no! Best thing to do is just call the store up as it does depend on the manager on duty as to whether or not they'll let you crash in their back parking lot! We do have a TA truck stop if that helps here in town right off of I29 & Benson or Marion. You'll see it plus signs point the way!!
Well the city may say one thing but they don't enforce something so miniscule. And they do welcome overnight parking for campers travel trailers Etc cuz that stated before above they profit from those folks and profit is all Walmart cares about we should all know this and realize and recognize it with the low pay employees their receive unaffordable health insurance for such a large company strike you as odd as it does me? All Walmart cares about is profit if they could figure out a way to charge the camper overnight fee in they would be set. But since they are not they will pick the prophet of the money spent in the store rather than lose that customer and all their money at any time because they made a camper ambivalent toward Walmart. If Walmart was not about the bottom dollar in profitability their employees would be paid decent wages their health insurance 100% by the Co. for the employee additional for the family to be added. Walmart cares are financial not ethical !!
