Only for overnight camping.
I would suggest yo do that online. Both times I went to the park I made reservations. That is what it was recommended to do, because it gets busy and the park will get full and they won't let you in.
I highly recommend that you do make a reservation. I tried to go there a few months ago without reservation and was turned away because the park was full. Luckily I was allowed to go in this time without. But the lady at the gate mentioned it again that reservations are strongly recommended.
Yes, for the time being. Check the Texas State Park website for details. We have done several, and it's easy.
Thank you for your correspondence .
Brazos Bend is only allowing about 350 reservations per day. On weekends, they go quick. On weekdays, they don't always fill that number and will let you in without a reservation, but you're taking a chance of them being full when you get there. It's better to play it safe and get the reservation online. It's quick and easy to do.
Good advice from all. Get an annual pass, pays for everyone in one vehicle. After your first visit, the rest is free for all TX State Parks, more or less. Make reservations, also determines check in time. Busy on weekends. Print your reservation pass and place on driver's side dashboard. Don't forget your masks. Enjoy
Yes reservations are required for both day use and overnight camping. Download the TPWD app to easily reserve from your phone. Purchase an annual TPWD pass and get into any Texas SP without a fee for all individuals in one vehicle. Discounts on camping as well.
Owen is exactly correct; almost all Texas state parks are requiring reservations for even a day pass. Book and pay online.
