I was cut off.I am having a hard time with the policy as our passports are not carried on our person but in a safe place.How is this going to be handled in the future with the many young Canadians that visit here.

I believe if you are talking about being served alcohol, having ID available is standard in Canada and the US. If someone would rather keep their passport secure, they should bring alternative government ID.

Florida law states that the only two acceptable forms of ID are US issued ids/licenses, or passports. That is the law, no matter how many young Canadians visit. If they do not like the law, they can visit other states.

When I bounced, we didnt accept ID from other countries. The person would have to bring a passport.

So if a Canadian Drivers Licence is not acceptable as proof of age, do you suggest that we just not go.
