Medium pizzas are 12" in diameter and has 6 slices. I know you didn't ask, but F.Y.I... a small has 4 slices, a large has 8 slices, and an extra large has 10 slices. There are those Italian places that will start from 6 slices to 14 or 16 slices. "Yummy and satisfying!"
8. Large is also 8. It's only 6 if it's a Brooklyn. If it's a thin, it's cut into square's.
