If you have a problem out here you need to spend more money on better gear.
It's always a good place to walk or hike. I'm not even in the same part of the country at the moment. So I don't know what the weather is like by you? The general concern in March is the ground can be wet. But you can stick to the paved areas and wear waterproof hiking shoes.
Well, it may be cloudy and cool but the park is a good place to hike if weather isn't too much of a concern.
