Prepare your pants and your animals before you go. They are out there, not real bad yet but they will get there.
I've never had a problem, but i haven't taken our dog yet, and I stay on the trails. Your experience may vary if you bushwack and let your dog run free.
There are ticks out there, but I haven't had a problem with them at all and neither have anyone that I know. If you're really worried about ticks, then bring some good bug spray.
There are ticks. Had them on our dogs already this year.
If you're going outside in Southern Idaho this time of year, then ticks.
I personally haven't had a problem with them. Nor have I heard of any one else.
