Is there a work out area or a basketball court

Yes there is a fitness room. It is typical of most hotels as far as equipment and size. There are also outdoor basketball courts.

There is a basketball court but I didn't see a gym to workout in but I didn't spend to much time there

I don't recall seeing a workout room or basketball court but they do provide bikes and trails. You can play hockey and games outside the lobby.
