Yes it's always a good idea to get a reservation as they can become crowded fast.

You don't need one, however,if you have a party of four or more, you would be better to. They're very busy and very, very good!! Worth the wait, and they have a small bar area also.
You are better to get one, a lot of the time they are booked full.
