Can you tent camp in the primitive spots while driving in? I understand the spots themselves are hike-in, but can I park my car in the park itself and hike in to the spots?

Yes. You park your vehicle in the area where you register. The path to hike back is right off from there. You can pick up a map and there are signs alsp you can use to get back to your spot.
